About this event
Rescheduled from February 24 due to weather/snow forecasts.
Our objective will be to create a perfect ring the first time. Once established, this attractive ring of any size and wood species can be secured to any turned bowl or vessel of your choice as a beautiful embellishment. Special attention will be given to properly calculating the number of pieces needed to achieve the desired ring size for your turning, making an accurate sled for cutting the rings, and gluing the segments into a circle. Also covered will be mounting the glued ring / turning it on the lathe for final shaping and finishing. Tips on accuracy, safety, and tool selection will be covered.
